Number 3749 was the last Frisco steam locomotive to operate in regular service. The 0-6-0 was leased to the Alabama State Prison in Atmore early in 1954 and continued in steam there until the fall of 1956. A number of Frisco steamers (including 76, 77, 1522 and 1630) have been restored and run in tourist train operation since that date, but little 3749 was actually the very last Frisco steamer in non-tourist train service.
