Restoration work on the Duchess, a narrow gauge 0-6-0T with the front drivers disconnected, at Carcross, Yukon. It was originally 30-inch gauge, widened when bought by the White Pass & Yukon. It mostly worked on the Atlin Southern, aka the Taku Tram, at Taku, BC, a 2 1/4-mile portage railway between Atlin Lake and the Graham Inlet of Tagish Lake. One of the two extant WP&Y 2-6-0s worked that line for a time also. It was abandoned about 1940.
