Post subject:  Looking for drawings of an AB control valve

Gentlemen,

Please bear with me for a marginally off topic request, but I've run out of other places to look.

Does anyone have access to a dimensioned scale drawing of the common WABCO AB valve? I have brochures for the ABD and ABDW equipment that have a dimensioned orthographical drawing of these valves, the purpose of which is to show the minimum clearance required to parts of the car structure that need to be maintained to be able to remove the valve portions for service, but all the material I've found on AB equipment lacks this, and has only photos of the valve.

My need is simply to develop multiple views of the valve that can be used in drawings of historic equipment, possibly for publication. Gone are the days when the draftsman could just doodle something in, because a detail the size of a brake valve would reproduce so tiny that the lack of detail would go unnoticed; in today's CAD environment any portion of a drawing is liable to be blown up and clipped to illustrate a detail, and it would be nice if the valves were properly drawn.

Please bear in mind I am not looking to pirate someone's copyright work; I'm looking for a drawing from period WABCO materials (which normally were never copyright) to use as a basis to draft new drawings of the valve. I will gladly pay reproduction costs and postage for a scan, Xerox, or blueline of an appropriate drawing. You can PM me or contact me at dennis@accurail.com

Thanks,
