Tomorrow, the Olympic Torch Relay will travel for a section of its journey behind triple-headed steam in Heber City, Utah.
The train will run 4 miles from the Soldier Hollow Olympic Venue to Heber City. The three locomotives will be ex-UP #618, NNRy #93, and ex-GW #75. These three locomotives will take turns providing classic steam transportation to and from the Venue all during the 2002 Winter Games.
Talk about "Lighting the Fire Within!"

Tired as I already am of the Olympics even before they start, heres hoping for a smooth, uneventful, safe and reliable demonstration of steam intensively operated in a very public venue.

This is probably the best opportunity to impress the general public with the power of steam since Freedom Train and it could make us many new friends.
