Anyone a source for WEMCo Type UE-116 air valve piston packing? This is the old magnet over air valve packing cup, WEMCo #134245 Thanks, Rob |

Westinghouse Electric piston packing 134245 was a triple leather cup designed for a 1.75" diameter cylinder. I am not aware of any company that is presently making tripel leathers in this courtry. Westinghouse replaced this cup with a graphite impregnated neoprene molded cup, part number 527D201H17. These cups were made for Westinghouse by Lubi Kup Co. of Williamsport, PA, but they have been bought out and are no longer here. Were I looking for this part, I would purchase it as a single thickness cup made of leather with a soft wax treatment. The dimensions for this cup are 1.75" OD, 1/2" dia. stud hole, skirt is .5 " high, edge angle is 45 degrees, corner radius 1/4", and the material is .093" thick. This cup can be purchased from the C. W. Marsh Co., 1385 Hudson Street, Muskegon, MI 231-722-3781. |

Dave, Thanks a lot for the lead. I've tried rubber brake cylinder cups but have had mixed results. Some of the valves still have leather, others have the neoprene cup you mentioned. Maybe these will work. Regards, Rob |
