At Birdsboro, Pennsylvania. Former Reading 1187. Presently dismantled for possible overhaul at Strasburg.

Is 1187 her true Reading number? I seem to remember being told that her real number was unknown or 1187 was based upon good reasoning but there may have been some doubt.

Yes 1187 is her real Reading Company number, I own a set of real Reading Company blue prints for her sister locomotive No. 1248
