If there is anyone from the Shelburne Falls museum group who peruses RyPN, two questions immediately come to mind.
What is the car?
Where did it run?
Etc.

Thanks!

In addition to Jim's questions, where is it located? Frank's list does not show any cars in Mass not at a museum...

This group has a neat operation and an historic and interesting car. Still on the original line it operated on when in regular service! I have a question though; what is the total distance they have restored to electric service? Thanks.

The car is a a combination passenger-baggage trolley car built by the Wason Manufacturing Company.
It ran in Shelburne Falls on the Shelburne Falls & Colrain Street Railway.

I think the question of "where" refers to the car body being offered. Not the operations at Shelburne Falls.

Les -

About 500 feet of track is under wire.

There is talk of extending track back down the hill and over the Bridge of Flowers (built to carry the trolley line over the river), but its only talk.

It's a modest operation with a heart-warming story. (see their website). My wife and I visited there several years ago--the drive to Shelburne Falls is very scenic, something even non-traction-fans can enjoy.

Sorry I was a bit behinde there. The car that we were offered is built into a house. Aperentely it had eached glass and gold leaf eatchings but was painted all white, one of the ends I also heard had been cut off to make room for a bathroom. That is all I know so far, what we need to do however before we can acept anything elce is get a new car barn so as I understand it the car barn is the first prioritey.
