AAM has issued a call for participation in the 2008 Museum Financial Information survey. This survey provides the most authoritative national baseline of basic information concerning the size of museums, their budgets, sources of revenue, etc. It is used extensively by policymakers and shapes press coverage of museums.

Transportation museums are historically underrepresented in the survey. If you are a director or treasurer at a railroad museum, I hope your organization will consider participating so our community can be fully represented.
