 Post subject: HK Porter Builders Plates

Looking for some guidance here. We just had reproduction Porter plates made for our 1930 HK Porter fireless and I was wondering what the proper background color should be of the plate. I have seen red mostly, but a few that were black. Any thoughts?

I have used International (truck) red. It is a nice machinery color and not too gaudy.
