I just saw a story that the Silverton is offering a $99 annual pass for the 2009 season. This is the cost of two trips over the line. It seems they are going after more local rider who want to kayak, hike, or fish in the remote areas along the line. I assume this is because it is harder to fill the seats with riders who have come from afar. Either way it seems like a good idea to boost ridership and revenue during tough times.
