I was surprised to find this immaculately kept ex-PRR observation car at the depot in Winslow, Arizona. She's attached to a diner with the name painted out, but labeled "Santa Cruz". Louis Sockalexis was a Penobscot Native American, heralding from Old Town, Maine, and a man who became an American sports giant.
Anybody know anything about the car, who owns it, what it was doing there, and how the owner keeps it so beautiful? Somebody LOVES that private car!

Amtrak #800110, ex Fair Wood, ex PRR Frank Thomas #8423
1bed, 1comp, Buffet/Lounge Obs, similar to Mountain View & Tower View.

Presumably in storage between runs. Not listed as available for charter on Aarpco's site, so obviously private varnish in truest meaning.
