I was wondering if anyone who hosts a nationally-known themed event got any sort of acknowledgement or thanks for the million$ they helped the international entertainment company make this year from those events? How about for the tens of thousands of toys publicity from the events helped sell? Thanks could be a box of chocolates, a seasonal greeting card, a free trip to Hawaii, a personal phone call . . .

Come on now, don't be bashful, we know you earned it so there's no envy, just tell us how (or even if) they thanked you. Your other major vendors are of interest too.

Our insurance broker sent a really nice box of chocolates, our local city government sent a greeting card with an actual signature and note from the mayor (I'm not being sarcastic, this is actually a big deal in this day and age!), a well known ticketing company also sent a box of chocolates, and our local coffee shop gave a 25% discount until the end of the year to all the volunteers to thank them for the business they brought. (We did - and do throughout the year - some nice things for our volunteers and supporters too but I won't get into that right now.)

I'm not interested in starting a flame war regarding one or another entertainment company or other vendor. I am genuinely interested in knowing whether they treat their vendors like other successful businesses treat theirs.
