Looking for Roller Curtain "pinch" fixtures

Post subject:  Looking for Roller Curtain "pinch" fixtures
Does anyone out there have a source for traditional roller curtain bottom fixtures, the type with the "pinch" handle in the middle and rollers on the end? (I'm referring to the part that goes at the bottom of the cloth shade and allows you to move the window shade up and down)

Adlake still makes such a fixture, but it's designed for modern sealed-window passenger cars, and instead of having the small roller wheels on the end, it has rubber tips. These are fine for cars with a metal channel for a track to guide the curtain, but won't work well in a traditional wooden streetcar.

Adlake still supplies the rollers. They look the same as always, and would work fine in either application.

Any help would be appreciated. A source for used parts in good condition would also be helpful, if you know of anyone with a pile of them somewhere.

Suggest you give Fred Bennett at the California Trolley & Railroad Corporation Trolley Barn a call. He made something similar to what you're describing for the restored Birney car #143. The phone number at the Trolley Barn is 408-293-BARN.
