Clipped from a digest of events in local newspaper. "[County]Commissioners also approved a $23,450 contract with ABC Roofing to replace the shingles at the Railroad Museum building at Montana ExpoPark. [County Planner Joe] LaForest said the roof leaks." Sloan |

The building (if this is the group I am thinking of) is part of the county fairgrounds complex. The building was leased to the model railroad club (which has been a tenant in 1/2 the building for many years). A few years back, the model club created a railroad history group and secured use of the entire building, 1/2 for model railroads and the other 1/2 for history displays relating to Montana railroad history. This group and the Depot Center in Livingston are the only ongoing railroad specific history exhibits in Montana (Livingston is summer only). There are other equipment and structures preserved, but not really museums. Michael Seitz Missoula MT |
