I have recently started a Yahoo Group expressly for posting the steam locomotive photo links that I used to post here on the Interchange. The photos will be mainly of engines that still exist, but not entirely so, as a little nostalgia never killed anyone. I consider it primarily as an information resource and would prefer not to include the unending debates that occur here on the Interchange. Group members are welcome to post photo links themselves, make additions and correct factual errors, so long as they are free of the personal insults I often received here.

Recently, there has been a large and rare collection of locomotive photos for sale on eBay and many of the links will be to these. They are offered by a dealer who has little idea of what he is selling, so many are poorly or completely unidentified. I have never sold or bought anything on eBay myself and have no connection to the seller; I'm just passing along the information. As eBay links are fleeting, I'd suggest you save the pages to your computer if you think you might like to see them again.

Some very nice old photos of B&M pacific No 3713 (and MANY other interesting finds) over on Bob Yarger's new Yahoo photo list. Could the moderators include a "sticky" link to this site at the top of the RyPN interchange? I thought that was the plan anyway...
