This restoration is another example of the outstanding work done by the restoration crew at Seashore led by master restoration guru Don Curry. Here's a Utube video of Cleveland No. 1227 on a mainline run during Seashore's member's day in September 2007.

I believe in this video the car was running on only two motors.

Thanks!

Jim,

I have been contributing to this car in a small way. At 51 feet long it is the longest city car in the Seashore collection.

But they also have the matching unpowered trailer. And they are assembling parts and castings as they went along which they are going to use in the restoration of the trailer as soon as the powered car is done.

They still need help restoring two motors from the powered 1227 street car.
