10 years, 500 volunteers, 42 million dollars sees the 25 mile Welsh Highland Railway track laying completed yesterday.

Three locos attended, two that ran on the original railway and were built locally a 100 years ago plus the newly restored Beyer Garratt "87"

I've been a member of the WHR restoration society for 10 years. Now it's time to make that often delayed visit to see this & the other railway preservation gems Wales offers. Job well done!
