So... we've talked about this. How about a poll.

I just want to state that the poll is a little disjointed. It doesn't ask if the person polled prefers e-mail or paper. It only inquires about price in an either/or format.

The other problem is that we don't have an idea how much content is provided for the price. It could be four pages or 128.

For now, let's assume quarterly, and 48-64 pages, the average size of most rail magazine issues out there, or let's assume 24-30 advertising-free pages.

Agreed, let's assume a publication, you know, *roughly* comparable to L&RP in the good ole days. (egads, the 90s are the good ole days!)

The poll is definitely too disjointed. However, if a product similar in style and content to L&RP came on the market, I would subscribe in a heartbeat

The system only allows one poll, so I had to cram both questions (paper and price point) into one poll. My apologies for the confusion. However there's an upside. You can only express a pricing preference for your preferred format :)

How many times have we seen elections where 68% of people vote for the light rail... then only 8% of people actually ride it?
