10 years, 500 volunteers, 42 million dollars sees the 25 mile Welsh Highland Railway track laying completed yesterday. Three locos attended, two that ran on the original railway and were built locally a 100 years ago plus the newly restored Beyer Garratt "87" <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fvynkpIz70> and here http://whr.bangor.ac.uk/goldenbolts09.htm TH |

I've been a member of the WHR restoration society for 10 years. Now it's time to make that often delayed visit to see this & the other railway preservation gems Wales offers. Job well done! |
