Does anyone know the status of Tommy Thompson's Anacortes Railway #1 and the train? Was the equipment ever donated to a museum for operation? pvanmeter@msn.com |

Answer to 2nd question appears to be "no." Engine and cars still in shed in Anacortes. Local group looking for an 18" gauge locomotive and cars for a tourist operation on the still existing track. If no one accepts the -- homebuilt, and beautifully built -- trainset, perhaps the group in Alabama would be interested. The trainset is very carefully modeled on the Welsh pattern. |
