Came over my flickr rss feed. She was well known in these parts during her time in PA, DE, and the Southern steam program.

Which makes the fact that she's today now in the Nethercutt Collection (mostly automobiles) in Sylmar, California even more bizarre

CPR 2839 Today

On the plus side, she now strongly resembles an MTH or Lionel model of the engine ("Ooooo, shiny!").
An excellent restoration on the museum's part

You know, this kind of bothers me. I love the fact she is in good hands, restored to a nice cosmetic finish and all, but shouldn't this locomotive be working, either in Canada or somewhere in the states? I don't recall any particular mechanical failure inthe Hudson; just being too light to handle the SSS trains.

Right, I know you need trackage, and right again, she's not a typical US locomotive design, but other than that?
