A railfan from Mississippi, as part of his job, was delivering a trailer to someone way out in the sticks(Sale Farm Road), outside Haynesville, LA. Just down the road from the delivery address was Brill car #22323, model 75, blt 1925. Sold to Columbus and Greenville(new) on 11/30/25(Car M-75) for $40,823, then to Louisiana and Northwest in 1931 for $9000(renumbered M-300). L&NW retired it in 1948. Sold to Herbert S. Ford who had it next to his house on Main Street in Homer, LA, using it to house some of his historical collections. Mr Ford died in 1960 and all of his artifacts were donated to the city of Homer(now the Herbert S Ford Museum there). We never could find out what happened to the Brill car. Now we know. The owner is restoring it.

Also at the location was L&NW caboose 216.
