Hi,

I was just wanting to warn people that some less ethical ISPs are still sending through unauthorized DSL service provider changes.

Today was my first experience with it. The AT&T (ex-Bell South) employee who came to the door was very nice, had the appropriate paperwork.

I knew that I had not authorized the change. After a minute or two, we determined that:

1) the house address was correct.

2) the name on the change order was my Father's - Dead since June 1982.

3) my name has been on the phone number account since about 1985.

4) the house is in my Mother's name and she is not PC or internet literate.

Please be forwarned.
