Just saw that movie again this past weekend but only for the 3rd time. A lot of locales STILL have me stumped. I know the station the basis of the movie was shot at; used to sit up there during the summer at night with friends knocking back some beers as Susie Q rolled by but where is the bar in the movie called "mill"? Also, when Finbar, Olivia and Joe walk the ROW they end up sitting on a bridge in the middle of the span and Olivia asks Finbar if any trains are due and he says the line ends (right down there) what bridge were they sitting on?
I took the Susquehanna 142 from Weehawken to Warwick, NY twice and cannot for the life of me remember crossing that bridge. The view in the movie was AWESOME and I SURELY would have recalled going across it. Was this scene shot somewhere else?
And what of the (hilarious) movie that Finbar and Joe made while chasing the train. Was that south of Green Pond Road?

Even though I have wanted to I have never seen that movie. I even saw part of the production since I lived in Butler just down the line from Newfoundland Station.

From memory some of the filming was also done in Rockaway Borough on the Morristown & Erie Railroad run Rockaway Branch. This is a former CNJ line now owned by the County of Morris, but leased to M&E.

The scene with the chase I believe was filmed on the access roadway parallel to the tracks just west of Cozy Lake Road.
