Showtime is premiering a new movie they commissioned on A. Phillip Randolph and the Brotherhood of Sleeping-Car Porters this weekend. Starring in the title role is Andre Braugher, an actor whose work I quite like. Don't have premium cable though, so I wont be seeing it this weekend. I was curious if anyone knew whose equipment was used for the train shots? I understand they were filmed in Canada... Wash Post article eledbetter@rypn.org |

Speaking of Canada, there was a book up for bid on eBay recently that related the story of Canadian train porters, so someone has taken the time to record that story. I wish I had written down the title, author, and publisher. |

South Simcoe Railway's equipment was used for most of the train scenes in this picture. It was shot last spring in the Toronto area. > I was curious if anyone knew whose equipment > was used for the train shots? I understand > they were filmed in Canada... info@steamtrain.com |
