Go to any electrical supply house (one that sells to electrical contractors) and ask for a "25A, 34V, IF" bulb. You'll probably have to buy at least 6. Osram (Sylvania), Philips (Westinghouse), and GE all probably still make them.

Philips does for certain: http://www.lighting.philips.com/nam/product_database/

Do a product number search on: 046677-24235-4

If you're looking for a clear bulb which runs on 34 volts, no soap.

Go to D.F. Barnhardt and associates web site, or pick up a copy of there latest auction flyer. There is one, and only one company(somewhere in the northeast)in the states that manufactures every type of light bulb for your steam and early diesel needs. They have been advertisng in DFB for the past 3 or 4 years.

At the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum, we have used 32V bulbs from www.go2marine.com. Search their product list for Electrical, Replacement bulbs, Other bulbs. They are available in 15, 25, 50, 75, and 100 Watts. They are inside frost and look exactly like a household bulb. The cost is about five bucks for a two-pack. 32V, 250 Watt, clear bulbs for steam locomotive headlights are available from Specialty Bulb Company (http://members.aol.com/SPBULB/) and from the previously mentioned www.aamsco.com. AAMSCO also sells a 32V 15 Watt clear bulb for use in water glass lights. This bulb is different than shown in the sketch on their website. It is very small - one inch in diameter and 2.5 inches long including the base (regular "medium base"). Because the filament is only about an inch from the base, the bulb is suitable only for fixtures that illuminate the gauge through a long slit (the typical case) rather than in fixtures where there is a round or oval opening several inches from the lamp socket.

I hope this helps.
