4449's Train URGENTLY Needs Wheelset--Want Cab Ride?

A message from Doyle McCormack to readers of Trainorders.com [and I reposted it here where the odds are MUCH greater that someone will have it or know where it can be found]:

The Friends of SP 4449 are in dire need of a disc brake wheel set so we can have our locomotive support car "Gordon Zimmerman" with the Eastbound movement to Owosso, MI for Train Festival. We need this wheel set to complete the Gordon Zimmerman's Amtrak Certification. If anyone here on Trainorders has a set of wheels to acquire and donate, here is your very rare chance to ride the cab of the 4449 at mainline speed for segment of around 100 miles, service stop to service stop.

The Friends of SP 4449 are not looking for the funds of the wheel set, we physically need the wheel set in Portland ASAP. This cab ride opportunity is not for sale, it is a thank you for the donation of one wheel set. Sorry, no guests. Available July 4th, Spokane WA, onward, you pick the segment.

Specs:
6 X 11 roller bearing
36" hub stamped wheels with at least 1 1/2 inch tread
disc brakes

Why doesn't Doyle McCormack himself post the message here (Not to insult OP's intentions which are good) instead of limiting himself to an elitist site like train orders.

You know, it's just entirely possible that Doyle & Co. are completely oblivious to the existence of this website and forum, hard as that might be to fathom.

Whether that is the fault of McCormick, this website's administration/membership, or something else entirely is a whole 'nother discussion in itself.

(I could point out that TrainOrders' owner, Todd Clark, does promote the site, and has had business dealings with a couple excursion and PV operators running charters for his membership. In addition, TO does have a noticeable Western bias in membership and postings.)

Be assured that the SP 4449 crew (including Doyle) are aware of this site, a few lurk and post here as well, so don't think it's not of any value to folks in preservation on the west half of the USA. RYPN comes up a few times at the crew lunch every now and then. ;)
