Post subject:  Operating Manuals for vintage diesels

Maybe others here know about this, but it was a jaw-dropper for me:

Man, talk about a labor of love and a service to the preservation community! I can't find anything in the search function of this forum on this one, so I'll post it.

Wow, neat link! As someone primarily interested in WW2 military stuff, manuals are something I always look for.
The funny thing is that manuals for locomotives seems to be a “acquired taste.” I have two E-3 manuals (one SP marked) from 1948, and had both of them at a show recently for a good price. Nobody even picked them up. I’m glad nobody bought them, as I came to my senses and put them aside for my own personal gratification.

Whenever I get a piece of equipment I always seek out a manual. Not easy sometimes, especially for rare equipment, but I always come up with something. Anymore I don't want the paper manual if I can get it in PDF instead. I can print out the pages I need and when i get them greasy and dirty just print out new ones!
