Regarding the CNJ 113 there is a current up to date thread on Trainorders.

This is lifted from a post by Mitch Goldman:

A crew of 4 was working on her Sunday 6-14-09 and hopes to have the boiler tested by the end of July if all goes as hoped, though she'll still have a
ways to go.

Hope I'm not violating any rules by my copy and paste. There are some current pictures on the Trainorders forum.

I sure hope the inventor of the Blue Tarp is in some sort of Hall of Fame.

Gentlemen, you would be amazed at the quality of the boiler work that has gone on under that tarp!!!

I couldn't believe the small confined space of the tent DRGW 315 was being restored under. But after seeing this, it makes that tent look like a major repair shop. Great job to all involved with this project, cant wait to see her run!

Looks 1,000 times better than it did sitting down at Wilmington & Western's Marshallton shops in the early 90's.

Will be interesting to see it run.

#60 is coming along. As a volunteer on the project I can say it seems like the biggest thing holding us back now is railroad politics and volunteer scheduling. The list of things that needs to be done as of 3 weeks ago (we took 2 weeks off the project and I couldn't make it down last week). FRA needs to witness a final hydro of the boiler. They've already seen one and we had a few minor weepers. Those should be fixed now. Superheaters need to be put back in. Smokebox needs to have the smoke deflectors reassembled. A leaf spring needs to be replaced. Locomotive and tender need to be reconnected.

Than all that is left if I am not forgetting anything is that a fire needs to be put in the boiler and she is ready to go! Really there isn't much else left to do on #60. If we weren't bogged down by so much railroad politics she would probably have been running months ago. If she were at another railroad who had a higher value on steam operation she could be in running condition in a few days.

None that I know of - it's all in the interest of preservation.

Here are a few more photos of CNJ #113 under the blue tarp taken on June 14th, 2009 at the former Reading Station in Minersville, PA. A boiler test is planned for mid to late July but as you can see, there's still a bit of work ahead for the group.
