Post subject:  Early Preserved Steam Re-released on CD

Audiophiles, take note: according to A. Allan Botto, Semaphore Records plans to re-release many of their 1960s-1980s steam audio recordings on digital CD. The classic 1960s "Iron Horse Rambles" recording of RDG T-1 4-8-4s will be featured, as well as a possible early 1960s Strasburg RR CD with never-before-released audio of Camelback #4. A 1985 album with PRR #7002/#1223 on Amtrak main line trips has recently been released on CD and the classic PRR recording "On Time" is being reissued on digital CD as I speak. Semaphore has found the re-releasing of their early recordings cheap and easy with the advent of CD technology. Stay tuned!
