Does anyone have the consist of the 1996 Tennessee Bicentennial train? I'm fairly familiar with the two E units and the PV on the rear, BLUE RIDGE(lots of pics and discussion of those). I'm more interested in the exhibit cars. I believe everything was stenciled PPCX(private passenger cars).

I believe two of the exhibit cars(ex Amtrak, ex USAX baggage/dorm type cars) became DALLAS(crew car) and ST LOUIS(power car) in the current KCS business train. Trying to determine the heritage of the KCS cars.

I believe there were six exhibit cars in the train. As I stated above, I think two of these later went to KCS somehow to become DALLAS and ST LOUIS. Here are two more from the train, still looking like they did in 1996, that were recently offered for sale:

*PPCX 1266 is pictured on the internet lettered as Tennessee Central 1266(part of Tennessee Central Railway Museum's equipment). I think the ATSF number is wrong. Built by ACF in 1955.

I'm going to guess that 1629 is the (KCS)ST LOUIS since it was probably gutted(tunneled) as the gift shop. ST LOUIS has six big freezers in it and 2 generators.

(KCS)DALLAS sleeps 7 people, so it may have retained the dormitory section. Tennessee 200 may have used 1631 as a crew car and left the dormitory section intact.

Does anyone know who bought these from Amtrak or who rebuilt them for KCS?
