In looking at the list of things for sale by Ozark Mountain Railcar, I noticed an original Rio Grande CZ dome, Silver Bronco. Would really be nice if an angel in CO came forward and acquired it for the CO RR Museum. Not having a dome car in the collection of the museum that is dedicated to all things railroad about the home state of the dome car is a major hole in their collection, and having a CZ dome that is virtually unmodified from it's D&RGW appearance (never modified for Amtrak service) is the best possible example they could get.

Golden does have the monument to the dome car that was formally in Glenwood Canyon, and I'm glad it was saved, but they really should have one of the real thing.

Cool.

Got a spare $149,000? Or any evidence that the current owner of Silver Bronco could use a $150K tax write-off?

Looks like this is the stuff at Brown Railroad Equipment near Saint Louis.

http://www.brownrr.com/catalog/index.php

Mr. Brown bought large lots of speeders from railroads when they were auctioning them off. He also bought the stock of parts on the shelves of Harsco (formerly Fairmont) when they decided to unload their parts supply. He has been suppling the privately speeder owners with parts and full cars for years.

Those items are not Brown's, they are owned by a railroad.

Mincy,

Could you tell us in what state they are located?
