| Post subject: | Japanese Bilevels Behind Steam on La Veta Pass? |
There's ALL KINDS of interesting material hidden in this series of posts at TrainOrders.com's Passenger forum about the Rio Grande Scenic Railroad, including: *The current location/fate of such well-known cars as Calumet Club, a Santa Fe Big Dome, and Lookout Mountain, and *the fact that VERY modern Japanese-built 3-and-2-seating bilevels are in service on a scenic railroad. http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/r ... ?4,1963448 A full photograph of a consist like this behind steam would probably rank as THE greatest "dog's breakfast" passenger consist of all time! (Of course, I want to know about the beers served--but that's just the beer writer in me.) |
