You very nicely posted an excellent photo recently of a Seaboard Air Line Railroad "light" Baldwin built Decapod hauling a long passenger train. You also made a reference to GW #90 at Strasburg and the 2-10-0 at Mid-Continent. This later engine was built for the Alabama, Tennessee & Northern as their #401 and eventually was purchased by Woodward Iron as their #41. The people at Mid-Continent don't seem to post info on their operation here on RyPN and I wonder if you have any information on #41 and its current status at North Freedom?

Well, I don't want to start any trouble, but I think that the 401/41 at Mid-Continent is a prime example of a deaccession candidate. The museum has stated that it is too big for it's "branch line" mission statement, and it is stored at the end of one of their display tracks. The locomotive has suffered badly in the years of open outside storage, and it truly needs a GOOD home.

I saw this loco about 2 years ago. I had just seen #90 a few days prior so it was a stark contrast.

If I remember correctly she had dual air pumps.

I own a Herron video that shows Durham and Southerns Baldwin light 2-10-0's(Same locos) stepping along at around 55-60 MPH. Very cool!

I've always had a soft spot for these engines. When I first heard Bachman was making an HO 2-10-0
I was somewhat bummed out to hear they were doing the Russian version.
