We will be starting at West Chester's Market Street Station, then stopping at SEPTA's Morton Station on the R3 line, then we'll head to 30th Street Station and do a turn in Powellton Yard. Power will be double headed ALCOs, our RS-18 and our C424. The coaches will be 4 Ex-Reading Blueliners. We recently completed a restoration of 3/5 of our coach windows, removing all of the haze and oxidation. Clears views are no longer an issue. Its a rare opportunity to ride some cool equipment you don't ever see on mainlines.

Here is the official word:
The West Chester Railroad, in conjunction with the Springfield Historical Society, will be running a special round trip train on the SEPTA R3 line from Market Street Station in West Chester to 30th Street Station in Philadelphia.

One Round Trip ticket - $25.00

Sounds like a great days entertainment for $25. Hope you sell out.

Hello everyone. I hope you are all well. I rode this trip last Saturday, 7/25/09. Must say is was a great day, very enjoyable. The West Chester did a fantastic job pulling off a first class trip, handled most professionally. Detailed description of the day's trip(not done by me) at the following link. God bless. Seth
