The Northern Ohio Railway Museum announces the availability of unique award winning posters as part of a fundraising effort. Details are below and the posters can be seen at our website http://www.northernohio.railway.museum

Award Winning Posters Available
At the 2008 Addy's competition these posters were entered as 2 sets of 3 posters in the Category Advertising for the Arts and Sciences and won two silver awards. The Addy's are annual awards presented by the American Advertising Federation. They were created by the Cleveland marketing firm of Liggett Stashower exclusively for the Northern Ohio Railway Museum.

High Quality Printing
These collectible fine art posters are printed on Matte Litho Realistic Paper with archival inks. It is a wood-free art paper with the look, feel and longevity of a heavy offset paper traditionally used for fine art reproduction. These posters are not for sale. They are available exclusively as thank you gifts for donations to the Museum Carbarn or Endowment Funds. They are available a la carte or as a bundled package. For each $100.00 donation, you can choose any one poster. Donate $200.00 and choose any two posters, etc. If you donate $500.00 or more you get all six posters. They are shipped in large sturdy shipping tubes.

I like the artwork - the first two posters in particular are quite striking! I'll admit, though, that I think this is the first time I've ever seen the replacement of streetcars with buses likened to presidential assassination...

I can't answer your question specifically except to share the data I recieved from the printer when pursuing getting these posters printed for the museum. Below is the text directly from HP, the paper vendor.

I liked a number of the posters... they would seem to be more powerful if they were linked to an activity like VISITING the NORM versus just letting people know norm is an entity.

Also, I hope these posters are part of the equation where the Northern Ohio Railway Museum gets most of the the Northern Ohio, Shaker Heights, and Cleveland Rapid Transit cars from the Trolleyville/ Lake Shore Electric collection. It would seem to be one of the best options for preservation these days.
