Our goal would be if 24,000 people make a 1 time donation of 35.00 dollars or more we could have this locomotive on the road by 2012.

Reality check, where are these 24,000 individuals? How does this count compare to say the membership of this list, subscriber list to Trains, membership of regional museum, etc. ?

While 24,000 is a very large number of people, every project of this nature has to start somewhere! We're sharing this with the preservation community first but will be expanding our broadcast to reach an ever larger audience throughout the coming months. It was a thrill to meet so many interested fans at Trainfest 2009 and look forward to seeing more and more folks join in our effort. We sure would appreciate any and all support as we feel very confident that this a perfect sized locomotive for the type of excursion market that is out there at this time. 1352 is just big enough to handle a medium sized train of passenger cars but not too big to run into clearance and weight restriction issues on shortlines and regional railroads today.
