I am pleased to announce that the New York State Board Of Regents is expected to grant us a Provisional Charter in September. This means that we will become a"Corporation" under New York State law. The Provisional Charter is good for 5 years. If all goes well, we can apply for a "absolute" Charter which is permanent. This is a major hurdle in becoming a Non-For-Profit 501c3 Corporation. The next step is to apply for our 501c3 via the Internal Revenue Service. Once we apply. we will be able to accept donations to our group. John C. Mech President |
