well here we go, found another wooden car just a few miles away here in Cheyenne. a quick scrape revealed it to be C&S 521 a St Charles 1880's product, build date unknown but purchased by C&S from Hicks car works in 1902. Does anyone know if build details are available for St Charles early cars. She must be early as it has no platform canopy vents and curved door frames. Scrape? Was this thing buried underground? I wish we could find a box car locally. Later! Mr. Ed |
