Our roving sleuth of a historian has found a fabulously detailed newspaper account of our passenger car's first trip from Fort Worth to Denver on March 27th 1888, it has everything and reads like a mini novel, gallant heroes (the train crews) attractive married women (from the Episcopal church !) Dreadful weather near Raton, hot boxes on the new cars! and jolly good food.
There were four inaugral trains departing at different times, and the first hauled by engine 15 consisted of a brand new baggage car, day car 45 (our car 57) and Pullmans 'Morelia', 'Alesia',and 'Napata'. It says a more beautiful train was never seen!

Question is does anyone know more about these Pullmans ??

regards

Mike
