| Post subject: | The Orient Express |
I have a friend of mine (not into railroads at all) working as an international teacher for the next two years in Thailand at a town called Pattaya (I think) which is not too far from Bangkok. I asked him if The Orient Express still operates out of Bangkok and he said it does. I inquired about him taking some pictures for me but he was unsure of which station it is at. Would anyone know so I may tell him and get some pictures? Thanks |

The Orient Express ran only as far as Istanbul. The Trans-Siberian Express goes all the way to the far East. In theory you can take a train from England and connect on other trains to reach Beijing and as far as Singapore. In the Beijing train station I have seen the train board listing train time for a number of international places. |
