3007 has been out for a couple of weeks now.
Be a nice calendar shot with the three CB&Q units and the Zephyr all together.

Oh, man, the Q's S-4 Hudsons - one of my all-time favorites. Several around yet. A high stepping lady with a good reputation among trainmen. I hope to see one in steam prior to leaving the planet.

There's a photo on RP wiht CB&Q #3007 along with some of IRM's newly restored Q diesels. I think some museums would be wise to emulate such moves to keep things interesting and attract people to the museums. The question is, are there enough railfans and photographers to justify the expense of moving displays around, or just how expensive is it to make such moves?

Imagine the large "parking lot engines" at Steamtown lined up at the turntable once or twice a year! Or perhaps a few engines safely enclosed inside their narrow sheds let out for a weekend here and there. A trip to the B&O Museum would move up the list quickly the day the streamlined C&O #490 was visible in such a way that it could be truly admired and photographed in a way other then head on!

Sharp eyed webcam viewers may notice that 3007 is still sitting on the west end on the station tracks. This is due to yet another planned photo session, Friday afternoon. The previous 2 sessions both "ran out of daylight", and our "Internal Dept Curator/Interim General manager/Webmaster/Vice President/Whatever Other Hat We Can Hang On Him" has decided to give it yet another go.

For reasons unknown to me at this point in time, Fridays planned CB&Q photo session has been cancelled.
