Recent postings on this board led me to visiting some websites of existing steam powered ships. I corresponded with the owner of the SS Pumper and found out she is available for sale. She is the only "wood burning steam screw vessel" in North America. The owner has been sitting on her for several years, she is operable, and located in Ottawa. For a mere $120,000 you can own a real wood burning steam powered tugboat. The is less then what the owners spent in 2000 to install her new boiler.
