The Altoona Railroaders Memorial Museum would like to thank Norfolk Southern Corp. for there very generous donation of there full motion TS-3 Locomotive Simulator to the Museum. The simulator is a full motion IIT Research Institute Rail Simulator with a McFadden Systems motion base. The cab is a replica SD-60 with a full control stand and 26L brake. The Simulator will be a interactive display along with being used as a training tool for the new Penn State Railroad Engineering program that will be housed here at the Museum. The Simulator arrived at the Museum yesterday and reassembly will start today. A picture of the unit can be found on the second page of the Altoona Mirror. This donation from Norfolk Southern shows there dedication to this Museum and the new Penn State engineering program that will start in the fall of 2010
