Railroad Days at the Monticello Railway Museum was a great time.

The guys and I went down to see the restoration in progress of #401 that Kent McClure and his crew have been working on for some time. I have to say that this restoration is second to none... and just looking it over in the shop was well worth the 3 hour drive.

The entire museum is very clean and orderly. The event was well run and I was impressed with the number of volunteers working.

I don't like to get away from Hesston often, but this was worth the trip and time away. Thanks to all the volunteers for a great day!

I went down on Sunday with a couple of guys from our museum. We really enjoyed ourselves even though it rained for a good part of the day on Sunday. Everything was just as you said.

Hats off to the people in Monticello!!!
