Post subject:  GVT Rail's tip of the hat to the Lehigh Valley
Sort of preservation related. Another shot taken from in front of my office, I love this place!

Freshly painted C420 #405, named for the late Chuck Riedmiller, is ready to depart Scranton with today's "Portland Turn". On an otherwise gloomy day, the clouds parted for a few seconds and the sun illuminated the unit. I think it was Chuck, smiling down on his favorite engine.

The metal "GV" flags on the nose were made from drawings taken from an original set of LV flags, which are owned by one of GVT's employees. The 405, of course, was originally a Lehigh Valley unit.

I have to add, that extra large red flag on the short hood really makes her stand out in her "corporate" livery. I am glad they chose to make her both distinct and uniform with the rest of the repainted fleet. Now, I need to snap my own photos of good ol' 405!

What are the other two locomotives and how are they lettered?

She's a beauty, I saw her yesterday in the rain. Kudos to the D-L!
Sully: those are Alco RS-3s lettered Delaware-Lackawanna, but in a pseudo-D&H "as delivered" scheme. Is this really 2009???
