Actually the number of U.S. museums capable of trolley bus operation increased by 50% earlier this year, when Branford got a short section of trolley bus overhead operating. They plan to shoehorn a short loop of ETB overhead into their property in coming years. Seashore still has their point-to-point line and IRM has a longer trolley bus line capable of regular public operation, fully paved and with a wye at one end and loop at the other.

Last time I was at Seashore, they were working on an ex Boston MTA trolley coach that had a pneumatic fare box. Seems this bus was designed without an on-board battery (the headlights appeared to have standard street-railway bulbs in them) so the farebox was run by some sort of air motor. Until I saw it in person, it sounded like something you tell the new guy to fetch, like sending a newly trained airman off to get "thirty yards of flight line", or the new mechanic's helper to the store room for a "set of spark plugs for a Cummins NH220"
