Everyone,

I appreciated very much seeing the SP 4449 and GN 2584 pics from earlier this year. I am wondering if someone could get some photos on the return trip as both engines will be facing the same way and will most likely be side by side around October 15th.

2584 was the first steam engine I had ever seen as a child. Too bad it was already on display when I came along. I knew her fireman, Henry Norton.

If I had a wish that could come true, I would love to see this engine restored and watch her 80" drivers roll on the High Line from Havre to Cutbank at 70mph plus.

Thanks in advance,

I believe that 4449 will be in Havre Montana side by side the 2584 on Saturday.

Could someone post some photos here? I know it will be cold.

Thanks in advance,

Did anyone get a photo of the 4449 and 2584 side by side on October 16th that they would like to post for us? I would really enjoy seeing one. I have seen several photos of 4449 on her return trip but none in Havre, MT.

Thanks in advance,

As close as I can find is seven minutes exactly into this video:

and that's eastbound.

And here's why you're not seeing more/better photos of the side-by-side:
