Found this photo of the recently-completed, unpowered Thomas the Tank Engine replicas at Strasburg. Construction details would be interesting. Are the wheels newly-cast?

Yes, the wheels are newly cast. I saw castings stacked up and starting to be machined in the Stras's shop last summer. I'm sure Mr. Anderson or Mr. Moedinger could provide more insight. New cast wheel centers aren't a novelty, however, as SOO #2719 sports a new wheel center after the mishap on the WC. For some reason, I also think that the Strasburg #475 has a new wheel center or two, but not sure where this info came from so it is not confirmed unless one of the Strasburg fellows does so.
