Great story, thanks for sharing. This is the kind of outreach every museum/tourist railroad should be doing. In addition to regular operations special attention to young people with close interaction and some hands-on will hook a generation of button pushers and bring them on board. |

TVRM has hosted a Railroad Merit badge camporee in the past and has done individual troops as well. We have had requests for a weeklong daycamp during the summer and are planning to offer this next June. We are developing the program now and hope to roll it out after the first of the year.
